Nicoletta Pollara is a Los Angeles–based art professional with over a decade of experience guiding contemporary art programs, artists, and institutions. Her career has centered on advancing artists’ visibility, fostering relationships with collectors and museums, and shaping exhibitions that resonate locally and internationally.
At Night Gallery, she played an integral role in the gallery’s growth into a leading platform for contemporary art, working across curatorial, operational, and strategic initiatives. Her work reflects a balance of scholarly grounding in art history and art business with a practical understanding of the art market, institutional dynamics, and the responsibilities of stewarding artists’ careers.
Nicoletta’s practice extends beyond the gallery through projects that link art to broader cultural and civic conversations. In 2025, she was selected for the Surf Point × NADA residency, where she mentored artists and contributed to building connections across regional and national networks.
Night Gallery
Provided strategic leadership in programming, sales, and operations for one of Los Angeles’s foremost contemporary galleries. Directed the planning and execution of exhibitions, art fairs, and special projects while cultivating relationships with artists, collectors, and institutions. Oversaw organizational growth and advanced digital initiatives that expanded the gallery’s visibility and efficiency.
Established operational frameworks that enhanced communication, workflow, and legal protocols across the gallery. Supported curatorial and sales strategies, including online exhibitions and digital initiatives during the pandemic. Guided vendor partnerships and facility improvements that strengthened the gallery’s infrastructure and audience experience.
Coordinated exhibitions, art fairs, and client placements with a focus on precision in logistics and documentation. Implemented the gallery’s first database migration and digital scheduling systems. Built an archive of publications, press, and exhibition records that continues to serve as a foundation for the gallery’s history.
New Art Dealers Alliance × Surf Point Residency
Selected as one of three U.S. gallerists for the inaugural residency. Reviewed artist portfolios, conducted studio visits, and participated in community programming, including a public panel. Provided mentorship and cultivated connections between artists, curators, and institutions to expand opportunities for regional talent.
Sexy Beast: A Benefit for Planned Parenthood
Organized a large-scale fundraising event in response to the Dobbs decision, mobilizing the Los Angeles arts community and raising nearly $300,000 in one month. Oversaw event design, partnerships, and donor engagement to deliver a successful evening of performances, auctions, and advocacy.
